With four seasons of clean air, fresh water, and abundant
natural resources at our fingertips, the Elk Rapids area is a
special place that our Chamber is proud to represent.
In 2013, we plan to continue improving our support
of local businesses, non-profit organizations, schools, and
local government agencies that depend on the Chamber for
assistance. To help provide that support the Chamber expanded
our already full events calendar this year, as well as adding
technology-equipped staff members to expand our activities.
At these events the Chamber works hard to promote commerce,
create awareness of Elk Rapids, and to insure fun for everyone.
We'd love for you to get involved with some of the Chamber
events this year!
This is an important year for us. Earlier this year, the board
announced an ambitious mission to publish a long-range Strategic
Plan for the Elk Rapids Area Chamber. Included in the plan is a facelift
for the Visitor Center. Our Visitor Center, with its tremendous location,
has become the information hub for the area.
It takes hundreds of volunteers
to assist our Chamber staff with the
information demands and wide variety of
Chamber-sponsored events we host on an
annual basis. That level of community support
is just one more thing that makes the Elk
Rapids area so special.
If you're searching for a beautiful area to live
that has an award-winning school system and a
vibrant business community, then take a look at
us. If you are seeking a premier vacation spot with
spectacular golf, skiing, snowmobiling, and water
fun, then the Elk Rapids area is just what you're
looking for. This is a special place!
